Designing for wide feet, the right way

A wide shoe is not just a regular shoe stretched sideways. Here is how we rebuilt our lasts to fit more feet.

Foot scanner and wooden shoe lasts of various widths on a workbench

For years, many brands made wide shoes by simply adding width across the whole shoe. The result was often a sloppy heel and a forefoot that still pinched.

Scanning 4,000 feet

We partnered with running stores to 3D scan more than 4,000 feet. Wider feet tend to be wider in the forefoot and instep, but not necessarily in the heel.

A new last

Our wide lasts now add volume where it is needed and keep the heel locked. The result is a shoe that fits like it was designed for your foot from the start.

Coming soon

Wide versions of the Tempo 2, Haven, and Nimbus arrive this winter, with more models to follow.
